Newborn Baby Boy Youngest Coronavirus Patient in Cebu City

NEWBORN BABY BOY – A male newborn baby in Cebu City tested positive for coronavirus or COVID-19.

The province of Cebu is one of the provinces in the Philippines with confirmed cases of coronavirus. The said disease that is now a pandemic was first recorded in China last December 2019.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the COVID-19 fight is going to be a long-term battle. In the Philippines, there is now a total of over six (6) thousand cases confirmed in the country.

Residents in Cebu were alarmed after there was a sudden increase in the coronavirus cases in Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz, Cebu City. The said barangay was placed under a lockdown.

In just a day, 82 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Sitio Zapatera. The Department of Health (DOH) considered the place as infected.

Recently, another heartbreaking update about Cebu City crossed the surface. Based on a post on CDN Digital, a newborn baby boy tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the post, the newborn baby is now the youngest patient of COVID-19 in Central Visayas. Many are praying for the recovery of the baby.

Experts believe that infection does not happen while the baby was still inside the womb. Instead, a rapid infection takes place the moment the baby was born.
