Update on DSWD Cash Distribution of Subsidy Under Social Amelioration Program
DSWD – The Department of Social Welfare and Development gave an update on the cash distribution under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
A lot of people were affected by the quarantine implemented over the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak in the Philippines. However, the limiting of movements is visibly really needed to protect everyone from the virus.
The entire Luzon now is under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). Several provinces in Mindanao and Visayas are also implementing the ECQ as well.
In line with the fight against the spread of coronavirus in the country, several businesses temporarily stopped their operations and many no-work-no-pay employees lost their monthly income. Also, undeniably, there are a lot of families in the country falling below the poverty line.
To help the people, the government launched the Social Amelioration Program that will provide cash subsidies to millions of Filipino beneficiaries. The said program is under the DSWD.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the DSWD said that as much as P22 billion were released by the department. It was already distributed to 4.7 million beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
Also, over P6 million were released for the more than one (1) million non-beneficiaries of the 4P’s. Some 40,000 public utility vehicle drivers in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be receiving subsidies as P323 million were released by the department for it.
Based on the report, the DSWD has also released the P74.5 billion fund for the local governments in the country. According to Social Welfare Secretary Camilo Gudmalin, aside from the emergency subsidy, they also sent augmentation assistance to LGUs.
The Department has also started with the giving of assistance to the senior citziens. Pensioners from CARAGA and Cordillera Administrative Region were given P3,000.00 for the first semester of 2020.

Hi? How can we get our beneficiary benefits, if our id address is in another brgy. and we are no longer living there. My father is a Senior Citizen. In the brgy. we are living now, didnt approve my fathers request for beneficiary

I am Esther S. Gulmatico im having a part time job at Polytechnic University of the Philippines Quezon City. As for 10 years being a partime teacher I havent receives any benefits for that university. And, I would to ask help from you im already senior citizens and unfortunately the PUP QC neglected us bei g their full time partime faculty in that school. Can my husband receive a amelioration a PWD.. he receives a 4500 pension from SSS ..but we are lockdown here at Greenwoods .Cavite .Since the lockdown …we are supporting my son s family at Taytay ,Rizal,too ..

Isa po akong Single Parent sa dalawa kong anak , at ang panganay ko ay 5 yearsold , at ang bunso ko ay 1 yearold, umiinom papo ng gatas ang anak ko. at dahil sa Covid19 wala napo akong trabho , dahil binabantayan kona lang po yung mga anak ko. , hihingi po sana ako ng tulong sa inyo, na pwede bang makasali sa Cash Assistance sa DSWD.kasi po yung baranggay namin may President na tumayo kada Purok, pinuntahan ko po, yung purok Prsedet namin , na pwede poba akong maka Avail sa Cash Assistance ng DSWD , dahil may dalawa akong anak at wala na akong trabho para masostentoan ko ang pangangailangan ng mga anak ko, nakitira lang po ako sa mga Magulang ko , , at dahil wala po akong trabhu sila muna ang bumibili ng gatas nag anak kong bunso. at sabi nong Prisedeny sa purok namin, hindi daw ako makasali kasi nakatira ako sa bahay ng magulang ko , at ang Ama ko po ay Myembro daw ng UCT. hindi naman po ako kasali sa matatanggap ng Ama ko , dahil may mga kapatid din ako na pamilya papo ng aking Magulang..
We are from Mandaue City, Cebu our company was closed since march 19, I have 12 workers no work no pay until now they were in quarantine in thier home but why they cant avail the Amellioration program from dswd ..also from dole until now no action no response.. they really need the assistance as they have kids to feed..

Why the Philippines government choose only people who are voter and members of 4ps are eligible to receive all this benefit,,, and some people that not voters are excepted,, this not fair,, all this people are pure pilipino and living in Philippines,, and during the election even dead person can vote and they are dead long time ago,,,, what kind of government and policy do you have??,, just saying,, but it’s true
