An artwork featuring Dingdong Dantes went viral
Artist James Permisa Lumagod shared his collage masterpiece featuring Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes using the plastic wrappers of Ding Dong Nuts.
Indeed, Dingdong is one of the most popular actors in his era. His popularity is not just based on his talent and looks but also because of his personality.
Aside from being active on TV and movies, the husband of Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is also known for being a good family man. He is also an asset in society for helping less fortunate people through his Yes Pinoy Foundation. Many fans admire him for this.
Apparently, an artist from Tagbilaran City, Bohol showed his admiration to Dingdong Dantes through his artwork. Based on the report from GMA News Online, Lumagod shared his collage art to Artist’s Lounge PH Facebook Page.
He made an image of the Kapuso star by using the wrappers of Ding Dong Nuts and he titled his creation with “Dingdong on DingDong”.
In an interview with GMA, the artist from Bohol shared that he used hard plywood as his canvas, and glue to put together the cut Ding Dong wrappers.
Before sticking the plastic wrappers together, Lumagod said that he did a sketch first as his outline. Then, he glued the Ding Dong wrappers on the plywood.
“‘Yong iba po diyan eh binili ko po sa tindahan pang-snacks at iba po diyan ay pinulot pulot lang po para ma-recycle at may use po. Para ‘yong plastic na akala natin basura po ay pwede pala siyang gawing art,” he shared.
The artist said that it is one way of helping the environment through recycling. Several netizens expressed amazement to what he created.
