DICT released its guidelines on how to apply and issue digital certificates for both the public and private sectors.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) released its guidelines on how to apply and issue digital certificates for both the public and private sectors.

Signed by DICT Secretary Gregorio B. Honasan II on Thursday, April 2, the Department of Information and Communications Technology issued the Department Circular No. 006 Series of 2020.

The Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI), according to Department of Information and Communications Technology, would allow internet users to “exchange private data securely”, as such, the government agencies and personnel, government computers, servers, and machines, as well as private sectors, can avail the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure.

Both the public and private sectors can apply by downloading the Application form at its PNPKI website, sending the accomplished application form and requirements to PNPKI’s official email address, and present their original copies of their documents and identification cards via video call for verification.

Once their application was approved, the authorized PNPKI representative will send an e-mail notification as well as instructions on how to enroll, install, and download their digital certificate in its self-service portal.
