Bantayan Island In Cebu Province on Tuesday reported its first case of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
This, as Cebu Province Governor Gwen Garcia on Tuesday confirmed in a press conference that an infected patient was currently admitted at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
The health authorities in Cebu, according to Cebu Province Governor Gwen Garcia, were still looking for the patient’s case history, adding that the contact tracing already started.
Aside from the first COVID-19 case in Cebu Province, Garcia reported seventy-three (73) new cases in Cebu City and one (1) new case in Mandaue City in Cebu as of April 28, 2020.
As of this writing, the Cebu Province reported a total of five (5) confirmed coronavirus cases.
