Visayas To Implement 24-Hour Curfew To Senior Citizens, Students

The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas ordered all LGUs to implement a 24-hour curfew to senior citizens and students.

The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas issued an advisory, ordering all local government units to implement a 24-hour curfew to senior citizens and students.

This, as Sec. Michael Lloyd L. Dino issued an advisory dated March 21, 2020. It said that a 24-hour curfew on senior citizens (ages 65 and up) and students “must be strictly implemented”.

However, students who were volunteering for medical work or were active volunteers to any medical-related work may be exempted from a 24-hour quarantine. In addition, all persons who leave their households, according to an advisory, must present employment identification as well as valid identification cards that have a date of birth.

Sec. Michael Lloyd L. Dino ordered all local government units to execute their respective ordinances and the effectivity of these ordinances “should be no later than March 22, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.”
