1st Coronavirus Death Case Recorded in Spain

SPAIN – The authorities confirmed the first death case in the country due to the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Currently, the battle against the 2019 novel coronavirus continues and it is already a global concern. Not only China but several countries across the globe got confirmed cases of the disease.

In China, more than 70,000 people were infected by coronavirus. At least 1,200 deaths were recorded and Wuhan City, the epicenter of the outbreak, is now under a lock-down.

Iran, Italy, and South Korea are on a tight monitoring now following the increases cases of 2019 novel coronavirus infection. There were also numerous recorded deaths in Iran.

The first coronavirus death case outside China was recorded in the Philippines. The patient was a Chinese man who arrived in the country through a flight from Hong Kong.

Recently, several other countries have confirmed their first coronavirus death case. One of them is Spain.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Spain confirmed its 1st death case due to the novel coronavirus following the release of the patient’s post-mortem analysis.

The patient passed away in the eastern region of Valencia. According to regional health officer Ana Barcelo Chico, it was in February 13 when the man died and his post-mortem analysis resulted to “positive” for coronavirus.

Currently, there are still no further information regarding it. More updates may be posted soon.
