Xiaomi announced the postponement of its scheduled launch for the new Redmi smartphone, the Redmi Note 9s, in the Philippines.
This, as Xiaomi Philippines posted a message to its consumers through its Facebook page, saying that the company decided to postpone the said event in their efforts to cooperate in the Luzon community quarantine.
Xiaomi Philippines previously announced the launch date for its upcoming Redmi smartphone, which was on March 23, 2020.
Based on the teaser photos presented at Xiaomi’s site, this smartphone will have a quad-rear camera setup and its dot-drop display that looked like the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Netizens speculated that the “S” in 9s could be a “series” of Redmi Note 9 smartphones, while others guessed that this might be the global version of Redmi Note 9 Pro which was previously launched in India.
