At least 10 people died in the collapse of a hotel in Eastern China that served as a coronavirus quarantine facility, according to the authorities.
This, as the Ministry of Emergency Management, through its social media account, said that rescuers pulled 48 people from the collapse, where 38 were still alive.
As reported by People’s Daily newspaper, the said building in the coastal city of Quanzhou had been repurposed to house people who recently had contact with patients who were tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus, officially named COVID-19. In addition, the coastal city of Quanzhou in China has recorded 47 cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
