MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia Tests Positive For COVID-19

Jojo Garcia, the General Manager of MMDA, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Jojo Garcia, the General Manager of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), has tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

This, as Garcia revealed his test result to the public, adding that he will temporarily have to work from his home. In a statement, Garcia stated that he already got his diagnosis last March 27, adding that he was doing okay despite having a dry cough.

Jojo Garcia was the current government official to test positive for coronavirus disease after several local heads, three (3) senators, and two (2) health officials.

He, along with other officials of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, went on self-quarantine on March 22, 2020, after attending a meeting wherein one of the MMDA officials came out to be the carrier of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
