9 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in the Philippines Instead Of 11 – DOH
The Department of Health (DOH) clarified the number of new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed in the Philippines in the recent press conference.
This, as Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Maria Rosario S. Vergeire initiated the press conference at the DOH Main Office in the City of Manila on March 10, 2020.
Vergeire apologized for posting inaccurate information about the number of cases in the Philippines, clarifying that their previous post on its Facebook page stated that DOH confirmed 11 new coronavirus cases in Philippines was from the World Health Organization.
After their validation, the department, according to Vergeire, found only nine new cases instead of 11, which brought the total number of confirmed cases to 33 instead of 35.
Currently, the health department has yet to post additional details on the matter. For now, you can watch the press conference of the Department of Health below.
