On March 9, “Loretta”, a 68-year-old Filipino-American resident in Los Angeles, was found unresponsive by her husband, “Roddy”. “Roddy”, a 72-year-old man, immediately performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compression in order to revive his wife after noticing that she didn’t have a pulse.

“Loretta” was then rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, knowing that she was a breast cancer survivor and was suffering from diabetes. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, she had cardiac arrest four times.

She was then placed in isolation as the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health advised to test her for COVID-19 infection. On March 10, “Loretta” died at 2:57 in the morning, and authorities confirmed that she has tested positive for coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

The health department didn’t recommend “Roddy” to undergo the test.
