Story of Female Doctor Who Is Coronavirus Patient #194
FEMALE DOCTOR – A doctor admitted that she is coronavirus patient #194 in the Philippines and shared her story.
In these times of national health crisis in the Philippines, the people that are most at risk for coronavirus, aside from the senior citizens, are the health workers.
The doctors, the nurses, the hospital staff, and everyone who works in hospitals and medical facilities are the frontliners in the fight against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus.
These people are risking their lives to save humanity from the virus. Sadly, there were doctors who died after contracting coronavirus from patients.
Recently, another coronavirus patient revealed her identity. She is a female doctor, Dr. Grace Caras-Torres, who contracted COVID-19 after conducting an operation to a patient.
According to Dr. Torres, the initial symptoms were high grade fevers, body pain, and an unusual headache. She initially thought it was chikungunya. When she knew that her colleague also experiences the same, that’s when she started to think it’s probably COVID-19.
The female doctor stressed that the first thing that came to her mind is her family. She has exposed her four-year-old child and her senior citizen parents.
Dr. Torres stated that she pleaded to God to spare her family from the infection. She underwent a home quarantine. According to her, her colleagues were already intubated and four (4) of them died of the disease already.
According to her, she thought she was already healing but she had loose bowel movement. She cited that according to Wuhan, gastrointestinal symptoms indicate the worsening of the condition.
That was when the female doctor broke down and realized she was not ready to die. She stressed that her child still needs her. She is hopeful that she and all the other patients will recover. Here’s her post:
May all COVID-19 patients be healed the soonest. May God bless us all amid this crisis.
