AFP Chief Of Staff Tests Positive For Coronavirus Disease

AFP Chief of Staff has tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

Gen. Felimon Santos Jr., the chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), has tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

This, as Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana confirmed the unfortunate news, saying that he was currently under quarantine following the test result of the AFP chief.

Lorenzana also said that he had close contact with Santos at the turnover of medical supplies last March 21 at the Villamor Air Base and at the General Headquarters and Heroes Hall last March 23 in Malacañang.

He added that he was asymptomatic, yet he will follow the protocol of the Department of Health (DOH) to undergo self-quarantine for fourteen (14) days.
