Areas Where Classes Are Suspended To Prevent Coronavirus Spread

CLASSES SUSPENDED – Here is a list of the areas that suspend classes in line with the fight against the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The 2019 novel coronavirus or also known as nCoV did not only alarm China but the rest of the world as well. Most countries are on tight guards in their ports as a move to fight the spread of the disease.

The said disease was first recorded in Wuhan City in China. A patient may exhibit fever, coughing, and shortness of breath as part of its symptoms. Allegedly, the said outbreak stemmed from the bat soup served in the market.

One of the countries affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak in China is the Philippines. The first coronavirus death case outside China was recorded in PH.

The said patient was a 44-year-old Chinese man who reached PH through Hong Kong. He and his companion, a Chinese woman who is also positive for nCoV and the first case of the disease in the country, came from Wuhan.

Currently, there are more than 100 individuals in the Philippines observed for possible nCoV infection. The authorities are implementing stricter measures to combat its spread.

In line with the fight against the 2019 novel coronavirus, some areas have their classes suspended. In this developing article, we will continue to update you with the list of areas where there are no classes on certain dates:

  • Negros Oriental (February 5 to February 7, 2020) – Based on Negros Daily Bulletin, it was Negros Oriental Provincial Governor Roel Degamo who announced the suspension of classes.
