Remember 90s rapper Lady Diane who popularized the song “Sa-Sa-Saddam”?
Lady Diane, Dyan Villavicencio in real-life, one of the rappers who became famous during the 90s with the song “Sa-Sa-Saddam”, is living this life now.
During that said era, she was one of those who introduced the rap genre in the Philippines along with the late Francis Magalona, Andrew E., and Michael V. She was tagged as the first lady of rap because, at that time, she was the only female artist who did this genre.
She became a household name with her probably most popular hit song Sa-Sa-Saddam which was released under OctoArts International Philippines. Some of the songs that she popularized were Cutie Pie, Love At First Sight, and Baduy Na Baduy.
After several years since she left the entertainment industry, where is Lady Diane now? Almost a decade ago, she was interviewed on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho where she confessed that she is a lesbian, contrary to her feminine screen name.
Although she was out of the limelight, Diane still continued doing her first love – rapping. From time to time, she has appearances on TV and radio. Since she graduated with a degree in Mass Communications from the San Sebastian College-Recoletos, she worked as a tutor and English teacher, according to a video posted on Dalton Channel on YouTube.
It was also said that she is now working as a customer service representative in a company in Clark, Pampanga. Based on her Facebook Profile, the first lady of rap also studied a business course at the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business.
