Billionaire Jeff Bezos was about to launch his Earth Fund to fight climate change.

Jeff Bezos, the chief executive of Amazon and the world’s richest man, said that he pledged $10 billion to a new fund in order to address climate change.

This, as Jeff Bezos, through his Instagram account, announced that he was about to launch the Bezos Earth Fund, saying that his $10-billion fund would “fund scientists, activists, NGOs — any effort that offers a real possibility to help preserve and protect the natural world.”

The $10-billion fund was described as Jeff’s biggest philanthropic commitment. Yet, as reported by The New York Times, Bezos would still be the world’s richest person even if he spent the full $10 billion immediately.
