President Rodrigo Duterte might skip EDSA anniversary, according to a presidential spokesperson.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday might skip EDSA People Power Revolution’s 34th anniversary and just work from home, according to a presidential spokesperson.

This, as presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo on Friday said in an interview with Palace reporters that President Duterte “might just stay at home” even if it was his rest day, adding that he hasn’t seen any schedule for the President to attend any EDSA-related event on February 25.

Since assuming office in 2016, President Duterte has never attended all government-led celebrations of the historic EDSA People Power anniversary, which will have its 34th anniversary on February 25. The EDSA People Power Revolution started way back on February 22, 1986, and culminated on February 25.
