3rd Coronavirus Case in the Philippines Confirmed – DOH

3RD CORONAVIRUS CASE IN THE PHILIPPINES – The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that another patient tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Most countries nowadays are on tight guards against the 2019 novel coronavirus. The disease that was first recorded in Wuhan City, China has taken 427 lives.

A total of 425 people died of coronavirus in China, one (1) in Hong Kong, and one (1) in the Philippines. The first coronavirus death outside China was recorded in PH.

3rd Coronavirus Case in the Philippines

The coronavirus patient who died in the Philippines is the companion of a Chinese woman who was the first confirmed nCoV case in the country. They are from Wuhan City, China.

From Hong Kong, the couple flew to Cebu on January 21. They have visited some places in the province before they went to Dumaguete City. From Dumaguete, they flew to Manila.

It was on January 25, 2020 when the Chinese couple was admitted at San Lazaro Hospital. On Sunday, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed the death of the 44-year-old Chinese man.

Recently, the DOH gave an update regarding the nCoV cases in the Philippines. Based on Bombo Radyo Bacolod, the health department confirmed the 3rd coronavirus case in the Philippines.

The patient is a 60-year-old Chinese national. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the patient has already left for China last January 31 before the result of her first test which showed positive was out last February 3. It was contrary to the results of her second test which tested negative.
