Hong Kong Confirms 2nd Coronavirus Death Outside China
2ND CORONAVIRUS DEATH OUTSIDE CHINA – Hong Kong recorded its first death due to the 2019 novel coronavirus.
The 2019 novel coronavirus which was first recorded in Wuhan City, China made alarms across the globe. Currently, several countries including the United States and Australia are denying entries from foreigners who have visited China.
Wuhan City is now under a lock-down. Nearly 8,000 of its people are infected by the nCoV and more than 400 individuals died due to the said disease.
Last Sunday (Philippine time), the first coronavirus death case outside China was reported. A 44-year-old Chinese man from Wuhan died in the Philippines due to nCoV.
One of the countries outside China with several cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus is Hong Kong. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it has 15 confirmed cases of nCoV.
Recently, Hong Kong also recently recorded its first coronavirus death case – the 2nd coronavirus death outside China. The patient is a 44-year-old man has visited China in January.
Based on the report, the 2nd coronavirus death outside China was recorded amid the hospital workers take their 2nd day-strike as they ask the government to close all the boundary of the city with China.
Currently, there are still three (3) remaining checkpoints that are open. The government put down the call of the medical personnel and tagged the request as “inappropriate and impractical” and “discriminatory”.
