Authorities Release Test Results of Brazilian Child in Palawan Suspected for Coronavirus
TEST RESULTS OF BRAZILIAN CHILD – The results of the test conducted on a foreigner kid in Palawan following a suspected case of coronavirus were out.
The novel coronavirus has undeniably shaken not only China but the world. This contagious disease that was initially recorded in Wuhan City in China has spread to several other countries across the globe.
The symptoms of the novel coronavirus, or also called as nCoV, are similar to the signs of flu. The patient may have fever and cough and may also experience shortness of breath.
Currently, more than five (5) thousand people in China are infected by the novel coronavirus. The death toll has already reached 132. Wuhan City is now under a lock-down to prevent the spread of the disease.
However, several other countries now already have confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus. United States, France, Nepal, Germany, and Australia are among those with confirmed cases that are less than ten (10).
In the case of Hong Kong, it has several confirmed cases – next to China. Most countries now are implementing strict rules upon foreign and local entries.
In the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) are monitoring at least twenty (20) people suspected for novel coronavirus. Among them is a Brazilian family in Palawan.
Earlier, the Brazilian couple was cleared from novel coronavirus. However, the results of the test on their 10-year-old daughter was awaited as she suffered from fever and breathing difficulty.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the test results of the Brazilian child in Palawan suspected for novel coronavirus have already been released. The kid tested negative for the rampant disease in China.
She and her parents had a recent trip to Wuhan. They were confined at the Ospital ng Palawan on January 24 as they showed symptoms of nCoV.
