Korina Sanchez: “Yep. I took up my Masters past 50!”
KORINA SANCHEZ — The renowned broadcast journalist recently took a trip down memory lane as she looked back on her graduation for her Master’s degree studies.
Korina recently shared photos of her graduation from Ateneo de Manila in 2016. To mark the anniversary of her graduation, she shared that she received those photos from “three different people”.
“Yep. I took up my Masters past 50! Akala yata ng classmates ko pagpasok ko ng classroom na ako ang teacher,” Korina wrote in the caption of her social media post.
She relayed that she’s juggling studies and work at the same time when she’s doing her Master’s studies. Korina Sanchez also remarked that graduating from her Master’s studies was among the most exciting journeys she had.
Celebrities and Korina’s supporters were quick to react to her social media post, saying that they got inspired by her journey.
“Love this! My dream [is] to study again too! When my kids are a bit bigger,” Bianca Gonzalez commented on Korina’s social media post.

To recall, Korina said in an interview with PUSH last 2016 that finishing the Master’s Degree in Journalism while working as a TV host was a very fulfilling experience.
The renowned broadcast journalist was also asked about her favorite part of the journey. According to her, she likes having new friends, having shared happy moments, and going back to school.
“I love the feeling of being a student again. I feel young even if it’s just in my own imagination,” Korina shared. “We’re all not done yet. Until we all die, I think we have to strive to be better in every way we could.“
