Here’s why Mar Roxas disappeared from politics according to his wife Korina Sanchez
KORINA SANCHEZ – The renowned broadcast journalist revealed why her husband former Senator Mar Roxas disappeared from politics.
Manuel “Mar” Araneta Roxas II is the grandson and namesake of former President Manuel Roxas and the son of former Senator Gerry Roxas.
Before his hiatus in the world of politics, he served as senator and Cabinet secretary.
He was the former secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government from 2012 to 2015.
He also served as the secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry from 2000 to 2003 and as Secretary of Transportation and Communications from 2011 to 2012.
After more than 30 years in the government, Mar Roxas disappeared from politics.
To answer the question of why he left politics, his wife Korina Sanchez went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein posted a tribute to her husband on Father’s Day at the same time shared why he disappeared from politics.

According to her, she doesn’t bother asking her husband about his future plans in politics.
She cited that his absence from politics means he can now give most of his time to his family especially their twins Pepe and Pilar.
“And this is now his happiest and most important position to date,” she stressed.
