Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero reveal their daughter Rocket has autism
AUBREY MILES and TROY MONTERO – The daughter of the showbiz couple has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or ASD.
The couple has been in a relationship since 2003. They have two children namely Hunter Cody Sandel Miller and Rocket Miller.
Aubrey also had a son with former boyfriend JP Obligacion.
It was only last March 22, 2022, when they got engaged after more than 18 years of being together.
In a previous vlog, they revealed that they were supposed to have an intimate wedding ceremony in Batanes in April 2020, but they had to cancel it because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Recently, Aubrey and Troy took to their respective Instagram accounts to raise awareness about autism.
According to them, it took them some time to share about their daughter’s condition because they are still learning more about autism.
Aubrey and Troy also clarified some things about autism and noted that the disorder is different for every child.
They also shared common symptoms that their daughter has such as; delayed speech, no eye contact, difficulty communicating, can focus on one thing for hours, repetitive, flapping her hands when she likes something, and crying her heart out like nobody’s around.
At present, their daughter is undergoing occupational therapy and speech therapy.
They also encouraged other parents whose kids were diagnosed with ASD to reach out to them or other support groups.
Meanwhile, the country and the rest of the world celebrate Autism Awareness Month during April.
