Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Campaigns in Northern Samar
LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President and presidential candidate had her campaign sorties in Northern Samar which she tagged as the real “Solid North”.
Campaign sorties are happening left and right now as the election day draws near. On May 9, 2022, both local and national elections are set to take place and the Filipinos will once again practice their right to vote.
The campaigns for the national election is ongoing for more than a month now while it was just four days ago when the local election candidates were finally allowed to campaign.
In the upcoming election, 10 candidates are vying for the presidency. one of them is incumbent Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. She is the only woman running for president in 2022.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo had her campaign sorties in Northern Samar which she tagged as the real “Solid North”. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, she ended her campaign rally in Catarman and got the support of local officials.
“Ang tunay na Solid North ay ang Solid Northern Samar!” the Vice President said.
Vice Pres. Robredo’s presidential bid is backed by Samar Governor Edwin Ongchuan and several town mayors. A lot of people joined the grand rally held at the University of Eastern Philippines despite the muddy grounds due to the heavy rain.
The campaign event was named “Rayhak’s People’s Rally of Team Leni-Kiko in Catarman” with the word “Rayhak” being a Waray word that means happy gathering.
Based on the report. during her speech at the campaign event, Vice Pres. Robredo vowed to stabilize the power supply and the telco signal in the province. She also promised to push for the completion of the construction of their circumferential road. Prior to the grand campaign rally in Catarman, she went to mini sorties in Calbayog and Catbalogan.
