LUKE ESPIRITU – Here is the profile of the lawyer-senatorial candidate who went trending on social media after the SMNI Debate.

As the May 2022 Election is drawing near, different organizations are conducting interviews and debates that gather the candidates. They want to come up with a venue where candidates can express their platforms, stands on key issues, and address the specific issues thrown against them.

One of those that organized debates in line with the upcoming election is the Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) owned by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. After the presidential debate several days ago, it recently sponsored a senatorial debate.

One of those who graced the SMNI Senatorial Debate is Atty. Luke Espiritu. His name went trending on social media platforms after he slammed his fellow candidates, former presidential spokesman Harry Roque and Atty. Larry Gadon, on issues surrounding the Marcoses.

Atty. Espiritu stressed that there were things under the Marcos regime that went against human rights and the younger generation must be taught about it. He also stressed that the youth must be taught that killing is wrong in line with the anti-drugs campaign.

The lawyer slammed Roque claiming that he was a defender of human rights and he was against the Marcoses before but his stand changed when he was given a spot by former Sen. Bongbong Marcos in his senate slate.

Many are surely curious who is Atty. Luke Espiritu. Based on a post of a certain Facebook user, Gerry Cacanindin, he is a graduate of the La Salle Green Hills in grade school, Ateneo de Manila in High School, and University of St. La Salle Bacolod. He also took AB Communication at Ateneo de Manila University and his Juris Doctor in Ateneo de Manila School of Law.
