Rico Blanco: “Ang gusto ko kay Maris is she doesn’t even realize it but nakaka-happy eh ‘yung vibe niya.”
RICO BLANCO — The former “Rivermaya” frontman recently shared what made him fall in love with his girlfriend Maris Racal.
Rico recently opened up during the recent press conference of “The Goodbye Girl” about what made him fall in love with Maris.
“Ang gusto ko kay Maris is she doesn’t even realize it but nakaka-happy eh ‘yung vibe niya,” Rico shared. “It’s something that I think is normal to them magkakapatid. Because I hang out with the sisters also and the family and even with Maris’ mom and that’s the vibe — parang barkada.“
There had been a lot of fuss over their relationship and often because of these reasons: their 25-year age gap and their chemistry.
Rico and Maris have been collaborating with music projects as seen on “ASAP” and on the latter’s YouTube channel, where they documented how they compose and produce songs together.
The musician revealed that it wasn’t love at first sight for him, although his feelings for Maris grew over time.
“[It’s] definitely not the first time I met her. Definitely not when we were working on the song and recording,” Rico shared. “I think it was sometime after we were done working on the song. Sa mga talks namin siguro. Nagkakamustahan kami. DM yata, parang ganu’n.“
Meanwhile, Rico shared that he saw his future with his girlfriend.

The iWantTFC’s original series, which was based on the book of the same name by Noreen Capili, illustrated the 5 types of heartbroken women while sharing valuable lessons on how to conquer heartbreak and come out of it wiser, stronger, and better.
Philstar reported that “The Goodbye Girl” was Maris’ comeback project with ABS-CBN after doing the TV5 series “Stay-In Love”. Maris and Rico were set to star in the episode titled “The Bitter Hopia”.
The actress-singer played the role of “Ria”, a woman who seemed to be getting mixed signals in her casual relationship with “Caio” (played by her boyfriend).
