Here’s what happened to Eric Fructuoso after he and his wife got separated
ERIC FRUCTUOSO – The actor-turned-businessman opened up about his separation from his non-showbiz wife, Gian.
Eric whose real name is Frederick John Marco Magdaluyo Fructuoso is an actor, comedian, and former hip-hop dancer.
He rose to fame in the early 1990s as part of the teen boy group “Gwapings” along with Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana and later with Jao Mapa.
He is known for having past relationships with actresses Ara Mina, Joyce Jimenez, Aubrey Miles, Priscilla Almeda and Toni Gonzaga.
Exactly, 16 years ago, he got married to a non-showbiz woman named Gian.
But after being together for a long-time, he revealed in an interview with Ogie Diaz that they have split.
According to him, it happened during the time of Kadenang Ginto, a defunct top-rating series of ABS-CBN that aired in 2018 until February 2020.
He and his ex-wife have been together for more than 16 years. That’s why he had a hard time accepting that they are now separated.
When he and Gian separated, he had no place to stay.
There were even times that he stayed with his friend Arnel Cowley, the widowed husband of actress Isabel Granada.
Eventually, he decided to move out and transfer to another rented apartment where he is currently staying.
He lived near the house of actor Mark Herras.
He’s thankful that Mark and his wife helped him get up from what happened in his life.
Until he decided to fix himself and set his priorities.
He told his wife that he cannot support their kids for a year because he will be using his remaining money to put up a business.
From selling shirts and cap merchandise, he was able to have his own shop selling motorcycle parts.
After all, Eric is happy that he’s able to provide for his kids’ needs again.
He also realized the importance of having a relationship with God.
Although his children are his priority now, Eric thinks that there’s no chance he and his ex-wife get back together.
