Political adviser of Duterte claims Trillanes is the most corrupt senator
Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Jacinto Paras said former senator Antonio Trillanes IV is the most corrupt senator in the country.
According to Paras, when Trillanes was still a legislator, he allegedly paid too much to his consultants using government money.
“He (Trillanes) is the most corrupt senator that ever lived in this country. Unang-una, ‘yung kaniyang mga consultant, overpriced,” he said in a virtual press conference.
Paras announced this after Trillanes accused President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bong Go of corruption.
Paras advised the public to ignore Trillanes because the latter is known to be “sinungaling” and “dumb”.
Duterte’s political adviser added that despite Trillanes’ slander to Duterte and Go, he will not gain the public’s trust.
Trillanes recently accused President Duterte and Go of plunder in connection with the awarding of a contract worth P6.6 billion to a construction company owned by Go’s father.
Trillanes said it is clear from the document from the Commission on Audit that Duterte gave Go’s family 184 projects worth P6.6 billion.
Based on the report of TNT Abante, Go had earlier denied Trillanes’ allegations.
“Panis na isyu itong pinapalabas ni Trillanes. Wala na bang bago? Katunayan, noong Setyembre 2018 pa, hindi pa ako senador ay sinagot ko na ito at hinamon ko pa nga si Trillanes na imbestigahan niya at magsampa siya ng kaso,” Senator Go said in a statement.
