Video of PE Teacher Performing Dance Workout Behind Myanmar Coup Circulates Online
An unaware PE teacher performing a dance workout while Myanmar coup is happening behind her goes viral online.
On Monday (February 1, 2021), a Facebook user named Khing Hnin Wai has shared the video of herself performing a dance workout while she is unaware that a coup is happening right behind her.
In the video, it can be seen that the Myanmar woman is dancing to an upbeat song outside the parliament building without realizing that some black vehicles armed with weapons barreling the entrance with guards.
The video has been caught the movement of the military to seize the civilian seat of power. Helicopters and military convoys armed with heavy weapons can be also seen at the background.
Khing Hnin Wai is a physical education teacher working for the Ministry of Education. She is currently filming a video for a fitness dance competition when the incident happened.
“The background scene and the music kind of match. I was filming the clip for a competition before the morning’s news came out. What a memory!,” the PE teacher wrote on her post.
The viral video footage has garnered over 51k reactions, 16k shares, and around 2.4k comments as of this writing.
