Senator Grace Poe on Thursday, February 13, called for a legislative hearing on the compliance of ABS-CBN with its franchise.
This, after the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) questioned ABS-CBN’s franchise before the Supreme Court.
Senator Grace Poe, the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Services, called for a legislative hearing following Solicitor General Jose Calida’s petition to revoke the franchise of ABS-CBN due to several violations. She said that her committee will look into ABS-CBN’s “compliance with the terms and conditions of its franchise.”
Grace Poe acknowledged ABS-CBN’s public statements that it “did not violate the law“, saying that a franchise, citing the Philippine Constitution, was “subject to amendment, alteration or repeal by the Congress when the common good so requires.”
In an interview with DZMM, Poe stated that it was good to have a legislative hearing in order for ABS-CBN to explain their side about the alleged violation instead of relying on hearsays.

Epal na naman si Poe. Whatever she does, she doesn’t deserve to be our president. All she does is make epal.
