Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2020 Parade of Stars and the Awards Night will push through virtually despite the coronavirus pandemic.
This, as Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 would go digital for the first time because of the restrictions that brought by the pandemic.
In a virtual press briefing, lawyer Romando Artes — the co-Executive Chairman of MMFF — said that the Parade of Stars and the Awards Night would be done virtually and streamed online in compliance with the safety and health protocols in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
MMDA has yet to provide further details on how the parade and awards night would be held while avoiding mass gatherings.

Meanwhile, Danilo Lim — the concurrent Chairman of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Metro Manila Film Festival — announced that the Metro Manila Film Festival had partnered with Upstream and Globe Telecom.
Aside from this, Lim encouraged the public to patronize the annual film festival that was organized primarily to help enhance and promote the development, growth, and preservation of the local film industry.
The Metro Manila Film Festival was scheduled to open on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020.
