Son of Actor Dennis Trillo in Crash After Drowsy Driving Incident
CALIX HO – The son of Dennis Trillo was involved in a serious car accident on May 25, 2026, after reportedly falling asleep while driving alone. The actor shared the unfortunate incident through a now-deleted Facebook post, where he explained what happened to his eldest child with former partner Carlene Aguilar.
According to the actor, the accident occurred around 5 a.m. when Calix allegedly dozed off while driving. As a result, the vehicle hit an island divider and overturned, leaving the car completely destroyed. Dennis described the incident as a total wreck, highlighting the severity of the crash.
“Kaninang 5AM, nakatulog habang nagda-drive mag-isa ‘yung panganay ko. Bumangga siya sa island at tumaob ‘yung kotse… Total wreck,” the actor noted in a now-deleted post.
Despite the seriousness of the accident, the actor expressed relief that his son survived. Calix sustained minor injuries, including bruises on the head and arms, as well as swelling on his left hand. Dennis shared his gratitude that the outcome was not worse, noting that many road accidents often lead to far more serious consequences.
He also took the opportunity to remind the public about road safety. He emphasized that drivers should never force themselves to continue driving when feeling sleepy. Instead, he encouraged taking breaks, stopping over, or resting briefly to avoid accidents caused by fatigue.
“May pasa sa ulo, braso, at maga ang kaliwang kamay. Hindi lahat ganito kaswerte sa aksidente. Salamat po at gan’un lang ang nangyari. Lesson: pag inaantok, wag piliting mag-drive. Pwedeng mag stop over muna, para mag unat unat o umidlip,” ang paalala pa niya sa lahat ng nagmamaneho,” he wrote.
The actor also confirmed that no other people or vehicles were involved in the accident, helping to avoid further harm or complications.
