Barangay Council Frustrated After Mark Herras No-Show
MARK HERRAS – The actor-dancer allegedly failed to show up at an event in Nueva Ecija despite receiving a partial payment.
During a recent episode of “Showbiz Updates,” host Mama Loi reported that Mark had a prior commitment to appear at the event, which he reportedly did not fulfill. According to sources, he was expected at a grand parade attended by many spectators, and his absence caused frustration among the local barangay council of Nieves, San Leonardo.
Mama Loi shared that despite numerous calls and attempts to get updates from him, there was no response, even though a down payment had already been made. This left the event organizer in a difficult position, as they were responsible for ensuring the booked talent appeared. The barangay council is reportedly planning to file a case against Mark Herras due to his no-show, holding the organizer accountable for the missed appearance.

“Ang sabi po nila, may commitment pa daw do’n si Mark para do’n sa grand parade at sobrang daming tao raw ‘yong nag-abang sa kaniya,” said Mama Loi. “Sobrang nagalit daw ‘yong buong barangay council ng Nieves, San Leonardo. Kasi nga raw, walang reply. Sobrang daming tawag daw pero hindi nag-a-update. […] Nakapag-down payment na raw kay Mark Herras.”
As of the time of reporting, Mark Herras has not released any official statement or reaction regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, Mark Herras rose to fame after winning the first season of GMA Network’s reality talent show StarStruck in 2003, which launched his career in acting and hosting.
