A woman is being pursued by the police after stealing five credit cards inside an exclusive membership grocery on Congressional Avenue, Quezon City.
According to a report by Unang Balita on GMA-7, the thief used the credit cards for shopping.
The suspect spent more than 71,000 on her shopping spree.
It was around 3PM when the credit cards were first stolen and around 6PM, the woman used one of the cards and spent 25,000 pesos.
In a few moments, the thief bought a microphone worth P14,200 and expensive clothes for P8,865.
It can be see on CCTV that the thief just signed every time she bought something.
The victim’s wife complained that the cashiers did not seem to care if the signature on the credit card was the same as the thief’s signature.
At exactly 7:03 p.m. when the thief bought dumbbell plates for P6,600 using the stolen credit cards. After that, she went to the grocery store spent as much as P16,586.
In total, the thief spent up to P71,796.

It all happened before the owner blocked her stolen credit cards.
The victim’s husband complained: “Si misis, andaming proseso kaniyang pagdadaanan tapos marami ka pang isasagot bago ma-process. Ipa-process pa lang, hindi pa talaga maba-block.”
Aside from credit cards, an expensive wallet and some government IDs were also stolen by the suspect.
It is said that it will take 60 to 100 days before the banks issue a decision on whether to accept the victim’s story or she will still pay the thief’s expenses.
The victim has already reported the matter to the police. Her only hope of winning is if someone recognizes the dimple in the suspect’s arm seen on CCTV.
