Rita Daniela Speaks Out on Ken Chan Amid Estafa Case
RITA DANIELA – The actress shared that she no longer communicates with her former love team partner, Ken Chan, and confirmed that they are no longer friends.
Despite this, she admitted feeling sad about Ken’s involvement in a syndicated estafa case filed at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, which reportedly came from a questionable investment deal worth around PHP 14 million. Rita said Ken used to be her best friend and someone very special to her, so the news deeply surprised her.
She explained that she believed she knew him well, which made the situation even more painful to accept. However, she feels that even if she had known earlier, there was little she could have done to change what happened. For now, she believes the best way she can help is by praying for Ken and his family and hoping that everything will eventually be okay.
Rita also explained why their friendship ended. She mentioned that they tried to fix their relationship and remain friends after their past issues, but things simply did not work out, which made her sad. She revealed that she almost invested in Ken’s business and that they were close to becoming business partners.
However, aside from business, there were also personal feelings involved. Rita openly admitted that she truly fell in love with Ken in the past, but she has already accepted that the relationship is over. She hopes that Ken will someday find someone who will truly love and accept him. She also expressed sadness over losing not just a work partner but also a close friendship they had built over several years as the popular pairing known as RitKen.
Rita was interviewed by PEP.ph during the fourth anniversary thanksgiving dinner of Luxe Beauty and Wellness Group held in Carmona, Cavite. When asked if they had ever officially become a couple during the peak of their pairing, she gave a careful answer, suggesting that it was not possible due to circumstances she chose not to explain.
