Sara Duterte to Filipinos on New Year: “Iwaksi na natin ang anumang pag-aalinlangan at takot”

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President gave a message for the Filipinos calling on the people to drive away fear as we welcome a new year.

The Malacañang Palace previously stressed that the investigation on the supposed flood control corruption in the country does not end by December 25, 2025. The statement of President Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Dave Gomez came amid the calls for accountability and the demand of the promise of Pres. Bongbong Marcos that more individuals linked to the supposed massive corruption will be jailed by Christmas.

Amid the flood control issue in the Philippines, the Filipino people celebrated Christmas and New Year holidays with the hope for accountability. Recently, in her New Year message, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte stressed the clean slate that the new year brings.

“Isang masigla at mainit na pagbati ng Bagong Taon ang ipinapaabot ko sa bawat Pilipino sa buong mundo! Sa pagsalubong natin sa 2026, iwaksi na natin ang anumang pag-aalinlangan at takot. Ngayon ang simula ng isang panibagong kabanata, isang malinis na pahina na punung-puno ng pag-asa,” the Vice President wrote.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos to let our courage and determination ignite again. She believes that in whatever challenge that we will face, the Filipinos bear the extraordinary strength to overcome all the challenges that may come our way.

“Hayaan nating mag-alab muli ang ating tapang at determinasyon. Anuman ang hamon na ating haharapin, taglay natin ang pambihirang lakas upang malampasan ang lahat ng balakid. Sa bawat pagsubok, lalabas tayong mas matatag,” Duterte said.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos to treat the new year as an invitation to unite and begin with a new perspective. According to her, our combined strength and faith is the key to a real change. Based on the post, she called on the Filipinos to unite in persevering and praying for a 2026 filled with hope and blessings.

“Itinuring natin ang bagong taon na paanyaya upang magkaisa at magsimula nang may panibagong pananaw. Ang ating pinagsamang lakas at pananampalataya ang susi ng tunay na pagbabago. Sama-sama tayong magsikap at magdasal na ang 2026 ay maging taon ng pag-asa at pagpapala,” the Vice President said.

Amid the holiday season, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. gave a message for the Filipinos in the New Year.
