Kiray Celis Wedding Gown Explained
KIRAY CELIS – The comedian clarified that her wedding gown was not worth ₱5 million, contrary to online speculation. She addressed the rumors during an appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, accompanied by her husband Stephan Estopia.
When asked about the gown’s cost, Kiray emphasized that while it looked extravagant enough to be valued at five million pesos, its actual price was far lower. She expressed delight that her gown gave off a luxurious impression, saying it made her feel proud to carry herself as if it were that expensive.
“Hindi naman ‘yun five million (pesos),” she said. “Pero sobrang kinikilig ako na mukha palang five million ‘yung gown ko.” She added: “Ang ganda-ganda ko ‘pag sinasabi niyo sa ‘kin na ganun kamahal ‘yung gown ko kasi ibig sabihin kaya ko palang dalhin ‘yung sa tingin n’yong limang milyon na gown,” She continued by saying, “Pero hindi siya ganun kamahal.”
Kiray also revealed that she wore a total of five gowns for her wedding. These included a preparation gown, her main bridal gown, a reception gown, a gown for the first dance, and another for the after-party. She generously offered to lend her gowns to other brides, provided the dresses fit the borrowers.
Beyond the gowns, Kiray shared that some wedding expenses were gifted by their sponsors and loved ones. Among these were a honeymoon trip to Amanpulo and free use of the wedding reception venue. She highlighted the support of her ninongs and ninangs, showing appreciation for their contributions that helped make her special day more memorable.
