Nico Locco on ‘Vivamax Star’ Chelsea Ylore: “Extra lang!”

Chelsea Ylore is Only an Extra, Says Nico Locco

NICO LOCCO – The actor addressed the controversy surrounding Chelsea Ylore and her claims of being a “Vivamax star,” clarifying her actual involvement in his film. Nico is the lead actor in Kapag Tumayo ang Testigo, currently the top title on Vivamax, and he said he knows all the cast members personally, including Chelsea.

According to Nico, Chelsea’s role in the movie was very minor—she appeared in just one scene—making her essentially an extra rather than a featured cast member. This, he explained, contrasts with her appearance on the film poster and in promotional materials, which might give the impression that she played a more significant role. Nico stressed that while Chelsea was present in the film, she should not be considered a main star.

Nico also commented on Chelsea introducing herself as a “Vivamax star” in a podcast interview. He said he was confused by her claim because she has had very little exposure on the platform, and calling herself a star seemed like an exaggeration. He expressed concern about why some aspiring actresses join Vivamax, pointing out that some come for attention rather than to genuinely pursue acting. For Nico, Chelsea is an example of someone joining the platform for the wrong reasons.

He added that whenever he works with new actors, he asks them why they joined Vivamax because he feels sympathy for those who take acting seriously and want to learn. According to him, the industry can be difficult for dedicated actors when others are more focused on publicity than on craft.

Nico also watched Chelsea’s podcast interview, in which she claimed she received a large tip from a senator. He found the interview uncomfortable and felt she was pressured by the hosts, though he noted it was still her choice to answer. He emphasized that personal matters like these should remain private to avoid creating negative assumptions about other Vivamax artists. He declined to comment on the alleged tip, noting there was no evidence.
