Amid VP Sara Duterte’s Challenge, Palace Asserts Pres. Marcos Continues To Work
Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro slammed the dare of Vice President Sara Duterte for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to undergo drug test.
Following the accusations of his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, that PBBM is allegedly into illegal drugs, there are heightened calls for the President to disprove the allegations of his sister. Malacañang previously claimed that Marcos Jr. has already disproved the said allegation in 2021 when he supposedly tested negative in a drug test prior to his presidential run.
Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte immediately reiterated his call for a mandatory drug test among the government officials and for Marcos Jr. to prove that he is clean. He stressed that the Filipinos deserve honestly and dared the President to prove that he is clean.
Aside from Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte, his sister, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, also also called Pres. Bongbong Marcos to undergo a hair follicle drug test to disprove Sen. Imee Marcos’ accusations. When asked if she believes that accusations against the First Family, she claimed that the people who have been with them allegedly made a similar claim.
Recently, the Palace slammed Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s dare for Pres. Marcos Jr. to undergo a drug test. Based on a report on GMA News, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro recalled the alleged answer of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s spokesperson over the same call.
“Nakalimutan ba niya ang sagot ng spokesperson noon na hindi pwedeng utusan ang Pangulo magpa-drug test?” the Palace official said.
Based on the report, the Palace also stressed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos continues to work and chase the corrupt government officials. She also claimed that the Chief Executive is allegedly not showing signs of uncontrollable anger issues and cussing.
“Ang Pangulong Marcos, Jr. ay patuloy na nagtatrabaho at tumutugis sa mga corrupt at hindi tulad ng iba na nakitaan ng senyales ng pagwawala, pagmumura, pagbabanta sa buhay, at mga uncontrollable anger issues,” Castro said.
Recently, amid the flood control issue in the country, Pres. Bongbong Marcos announced the issuance of arrest warrants against the accused.
