Susan Enriquez Slams Zaldy Co, Calling Him a Thief

Susan Enriquez Doubts Zaldy Co’s Story

SUSAN ENRIQUEZ – The GMA News personality strongly reacted to the statements of former lawmaker Zaldy Co. In several Facebook posts, she called him a thief and questioned his claim that he never received money from the flood control projects.

Zaldy released three videos on his verified Facebook page. In his second video, he said he did not receive any part of the funds allegedly given to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. He claimed the President had about 100 billion pesos in insertions in the 2025 budget and kept 25 billion pesos from it.

Zaldy also showed photos of suitcases he claimed were filled with cash delivered to Marcos and Romualdez. Susan responded by saying she did not believe his statements and insisted that he and the other involved officials were all thieves who did not care about the public.

On November 16, 2025, Zaldy posted his final video. He challenged Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla to investigate Marcos and Romualdez, though he doubted it would happen. He asked the Senate to step in, believing they could uncover the truth.

Zaldy further claimed that Marcos was trying to ruin his reputation and that his life was being threatened. He said Romualdez warned him that he could be shot if he spoke out, and later told him not to return to the Philippines because it would be dangerous.

In the end, Zaldy apologized to the public. He said he only followed orders and did not keep any money, insisting he simply delivered the cash to Marcos and Romualdez.

Malacañang denied all accusations. Palace press officer Claire Castro called Zaldy’s claims a “comedy series,” saying his statements were inconsistent, lacked evidence, and sounded scripted. She questioned his timeline and suggested he was being used by groups trying to bring down the President. She added that President Marcos was not bothered by the accusations.
