Brenda Mage Experiences 7.4 Earthquake in Davao

Terrifying Experience of Brenda Mage During Davao Earthquake

BRENDA MAGE – The comedian and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate had an unexpected and frightening homecoming in Davao Oriental after a powerful earthquake struck on Friday morning, October 10, 2025. He had just arrived in his hometown when a magnitude 7.4 earthquake shook the province—an event he accidentally captured while filming a house tour video for his social media followers.

In the video, Brenda can be seen panicking as the ground shook violently. Startled and frightened, he repeatedly shouted that the ground was shaking while rushing outside with his companions to seek safety. He wrote in his post that the shaking in Davao was so strong and prayed for protection.

Later, Brenda shared photos of himself and his companions standing outside their home after evacuating in fear. He explained that he was filming a vlog when the earthquake suddenly struck and initially thought someone was knocking on his door before realizing it was an earthquake. He added that he was vlogging a house tour when everything around him suddenly started moving.

In another video, Brenda mentioned that it had been two years since he last returned to Davao, only to be greeted by such a strong earthquake. He said he hoped there would be no strong aftershocks and expressed concern for his family and neighbors. He also shared that he went home to attend a wake and burial, which made the timing of the quake even more emotional.

Using his platform, Brenda reminded his followers to stay alert and cautious, especially those living in tall or concrete buildings. He said the shaking was so strong that it was truly frightening for those in big or cemented houses. He urged everyone to be careful, especially those living in buildings, and showed pictures of the damage caused by the earthquake.

As of this writing, authorities confirmed one fatality in the town of Lupon, where a man was hit by falling hollow blocks during the height of the quake. Residents across Davao Oriental remain on alert as PHIVOLCS continues to monitor aftershocks.
