BB GANDANGHARI – The actress and media personality graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business from the Los Angeles Film School.

She shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a video from her graduation ceremony along with a short but meaningful message. BB reflected on the effort it took to earn the honor, proudly noting her perfect attendance and zero tardiness throughout the entire course. She described the experience as both challenging and rewarding.

In addition to graduating with top honors, BB was also recognized as Student of the Month and became a member of the Honor Society of Los Angeles—further proof of her hard work and dedication.

In an earlier interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, BB shared that she pursued film school to follow her passion for producing and directing—a dream she is now even closer to fulfilling.

Her brother, Senator Robin Padilla, proudly celebrated her achievement with a heartfelt Facebook post on July 13. He praised BB’s determination and drive, calling her an inspiration for working hard to reach her goals.

“Isang taos-pusong pagbati sa aking kapatid na si BB Gandanghari na nagtapos bilang Summa Cum Laude sa Filmmaking,” Robin said. “Sobrang proud at humahanga ako sa iyong sipag at determinasyon para abutin ang iyong pangarap. Saludo ako sa’yo! Mabuhay ka!”

Meanwhile, BB Gandanghari, formerly known as Rustom Padilla, is a Filipino-American actress, model, and director. She rose to fame in the 1990s as a popular action star in the Philippines. In 2006, she came out as gay during Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, and in 2009, she came out as a transgender woman, adopting the name BB Gandanghari. Her name and gender were legally recognized in the U.S. in 2016, and she officially became a U.S. citizen in 2022.
