Harry Roque on Bongbong Marcos: “When a clown enters a palace, it becomes a circus”

Former Presidential Spox Harry Roque Reacts To PBBM’s Remarks

HARRY ROQUE – Duterte’s former presidential spokesman chided President Bongbong Marcos over his “politics is over” remarks.

Former presidential spokesman Roque was spotted in The Netherlands starting March after he was hiding for around six (6) months. He was out from the public’s sight since the House of Representatives ordered for his arrest. His alleged link to the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country is under scrutiny.

However, with Harry Roque being an asylum seeker in The Netherlands, the former presidential spokesman is confident that he cannot be deported while the process is ongoing. According to him, it may take around one year and a half. He is stressed that there is no longer a need for him to hide.

A local court in Pampanga previously issued an arrest warrant against Roque but the Philippine authorities admitted that it cannot be directly served while he applies for asylum. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed that there are efforts for the cancellation of the passport of the former presidential spokesman.

The authorities also previously confirmed that they are preparing the requirements in seeking the assistance of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). Previously, Harry Roque claimed that the Marcos Jr. administration is allegedly working against him because of his ties with the Dutertes.

Roque is undeniably a Duterte loyalist. He is not only close to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte who is currently detained in The Hague but as well as Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. However, the Dutertes did not make him part of the former President’s ICC legal team despite his persistence to defend his former boss.

“Politics is over, says Marcos Jr whose only felt project in the first half of his administration is the destruction of the Dutertes. Tama nga, when a clown enters a palace, it becomes a circus,” Harry Roque wrote in his Facebook post.

Boying Remulla’s claims that he received reports that Roque supposedly has 3 passports and his asylum bid was denied.
