Liana Mae Speaks Up After Being Linked to Chavit Singson
LIANA MAE – The actress has spoken out publicly to clarify the truth behind recent rumors linking her to Ilocos Sur’s former governor, Chavit Singson. The speculation began after a photo of the two surfaced online, leading to widespread assumptions and controversy on social media.
Liana explained that the viral image was taken during a work-related dinner held in Ilocos for the film Samahan ng Makasalanan. She emphasized that the dinner was strictly a professional meeting and not a personal gathering. According to her, she attended the dinner with her fellow cast members and her mother, and it was simply part of her job. She clarified that there was no romantic involvement.
The Sparkle artist shared that she typically chooses to remain silent on such issues but felt the need to address the matter this time to clear up any misunderstandings. She admitted that while she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, the hurtful and unfair assumptions prompted her to speak up. Many of the things being said, she noted, are simply not true.

Liana also pointed out how quickly people tend to judge based on a single photo or limited information. She called for understanding and reminded the public not to jump to conclusions without knowing the full context.
To conclude her statement, Liana confirmed that she is currently in a relationship and has nothing to hide. She expressed her desire for peace and encouraged others to do the same. She made it clear that she is not the person some are trying to portray her as, and that her focus remains on her work and personal integrity.

Chavit Singson, known for his long-standing political career and business ventures, has not made any public comment on the matter. Meanwhile, Liana Mae remains focused on her projects and hopes the issue will soon be put to rest.
