Whistleblower Links Actress to Missing Sabungeros
MISSING SABUNGEROS CASE – A popular female celebrity has been linked to the disappearance of over 100 cockfighting enthusiasts, according to a whistleblower known only as “Totoy.”
Totoy claimed he once worked closely with the mastermind behind the kidnapping and killing of the sabungeros. He revealed that the victims were reportedly strangled with wire, their bodies tied to sacks filled with sand, and then thrown into Taal Lake.
He said the female celebrity was part of the group responsible and even called her an “alpha member,” suggesting she had a key or leading role in the group’s operations. “Mayroong isang babaeng celebrity. Di ko muna papangalanan, at alam na nila yan. Kasama siya sa alpha member… Ibig sabihin, kasama siya sa grupo,” Totoy said.

While Totoy did not give many details about her role, he said she is one of around 30 individuals—including police officers and civilians—who should face charges. He added that she was often present during meetings and is considered part of the mastermind’s “inner circle.” Totoy said: “Isa siya sa pag nag-meeting-meeting, nandoon siya. Isa rin siyang susi kung sakali… Siya ang mas marami ring alam.”
Totoy added that his affidavit is ready, but he will only submit it once he has gathered more evidence and secured witnesses to support his claims. He also admitted that he fears for his life, which is why he now wants to become a state witness.

Totoy is one of six security guards from the Manila Arena, where cockfighting matches were usually held. He and his fellow guards were charged with kidnapping and serious illegal detention. Although a Manila court initially granted them bail, the Court of Appeals later canceled it after the victims’ families appealed. The Department of Justice has since ordered their re-arrest. In a separate interview, DOJ Secretary Boying Remulla confirmed that the alleged mastermind is a “kilalang personalidad.”
