Rumor Not True, Says Vina Morales About Jake Ejercito
VINA MORALES – The actress-singer responded to the rumor linking her to actor Jake Ejercito. The speculation began after a vlogger posted about them being seen together during a campaign event in Jolo, Sulu, back in May 2025.
Both Vina and Jake were invited by their friend, Congressman Samier Tan, to support the local campaign. Vina later shared a video on Instagram showing their arrival at the airport. In her caption, she said that although it was a long travel day with Jake, it was all worth it to be with the people of Jolo. She thanked Congressman Tan for making the trip meaningful and added that seeing people smile during the peaceful motorcade made everything extra special. Photos from the event showed Vina and Jake happily joining the motorcade, which may have sparked the dating rumors.
On June 25, 2025, PEP.ph asked Vina for her reaction. Through a Viber message, she explained that she chose not to comment initially to avoid escalating the issue. She clarified that she and Jake simply worked together on a project and that people misunderstood the situation based on a single post. She said Jake is a good friend and emphasized that the idea they are dating is not true.
“Hala, I didn’t answer those questions before because baka lalaki lang, hehe. He is a good friend and we worked together when we were in Zulu and just one post ng vlogger na magkasama kami campaigning, they assumed we are dating. There’s no truth to that post,” she said.
Meanwhile, Vina expressed excitement about her upcoming TV comeback. Her new GMA-7 series, Cruz vs Cruz, is set to premiere on June 30. Directed by Gil Tejada, the show features a strong cast, including Gladys Reyes, Neil Ryan Sese, Kristoffer Martin, Lexi Gonzales, Elijah Alejo, Caprice Cayetano, and Pancho Magno.
