Catriona Surprised by ‘ViCat’ Pairing with Vico Sotto
CATRIONA GRAY – The Miss Universe 2018 has spoken up about the recent buzz linking her to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
The speculation began when netizens noticed that both Catriona and Vico followed each other on Instagram. This simple interaction quickly led to fans playfully pairing them and even giving their tandem the nickname “ViCat.”
During a media interview on Thursday, June 12, Catriona shared that she was surprised by how quickly people started talking about them online. Laughing, she said, “Nagulat din ako,” natatawang sabi ni Catriona. “Hindi ko in-expect. […] Follow-an lang. Mutuals lang.” She emphasized that while she appreciates the happy reactions from fans, there is nothing more to their connection beyond following each other on social media.
Aside from Catriona, Mayor Vico has also been previously linked to other celebrities, including Atasha Muhlach, daughter of Aga Muhlach, and TV5 news anchor Gretchen Ho.
Meanwhile, Catriona Gray is a Filipino-Australian beauty queen best known for winning Miss Universe 2018, becoming the fourth Filipina to take home the crown. Before that, she also represented the Philippines in Miss World 2016, where she placed in the Top 5.
Catriona is more than just a pageant titleholder. She is also a singer, model, host, and advocate.
