Students Go Viral for Making Faces Behind the President
EPIC – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had a good laugh over a viral video taken during the opening ceremony of the Palarong Pambansa, a national sports event for student-athletes. In the clip, a few young female athletes standing behind him were seen making funny faces while he was delivering his speech.
Instead of getting upset, the President found it amusing.
Taking it in stride, he even turned the moment into a lighthearted joke. He called out to his son, Congressman Sandro Marcos, asking, “Cong. Sandro, baka puwede natin mahanap itong mga batang ito, para makilala naman natin. Shout out naman diyan sa mga kabataan!” he added with a laugh.

The President’s reaction showed his relaxed and approachable side, turning what could have been a negative moment into something fun and engaging—especially for younger audiences.

Alongside the laughter, President Marcos also took the opportunity to talk about more serious matters. In the same vlog, he shared updates on his administration’s progress under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign, which focuses on bringing positive change to the country.

The video has since circulated widely online, with many praising the President for his humorous and graceful response. His reaction not only diffused potential criticism but also helped him connect with the youth, turning a viral moment into something meaningful and lighthearted.
