Euleen Castro Stands by Her Food Review: “Hindi po talaga ako nasarapan”

Euleen Castro Defends Viral Café Review

EULEEN CASTRO – The social media personality, also known as “Pambansang Yobab,” has finally broken her silence regarding the backlash she received over a viral food review she made about a café in Iloilo. In her now-controversial video, Euleen bluntly said that none of the food or drinks at the café tasted good, which drew heavy criticism from the public.

Through her YouTube channel, Euleen shared her side of the story, explaining how they came across the café after watching a movie and decided to try most of the items on the menu. She admitted that the food simply did not appeal to her taste. “Honestly, hindi po talaga ako nasarapan, and opinyon ko naman po ‘yon,” she said.

She clarified that she never told people not to support the café or that it should close down. Addressing the issue of her use of strong language in the video, Euleen emphasized that she did not insult the food, the staff, or the café itself. According to her, the expression used was a spontaneous reaction and part of her usual humor.

Euleen admitted that she should have included a disclaimer to make it clear that her review was based solely on her personal taste, which may not apply to others. She apologized sincerely to the café’s chefs, staff, and owner, acknowledging their hard work and saying it was never her intention to cause harm or make anyone lose their jobs.

She also became emotional, sharing that the hate comments affected her deeply, especially the ones targeting plus-size individuals. Though she expected her followers to understand her humor, the situation opened her eyes to how wide her online reach has become.

Calling it a wake-up call, Euleen promised to be more careful with her future content. In the end, she asked for forgiveness from everyone she may have offended or hurt through her review, particularly the café’s team. She stressed that while her opinion was honest, she acknowledges the need for more thoughtful and respectful delivery.
